September 2019 edition: The Evolution of Life

Go time-travelling with our September issue, 'The Evolution of Life'!

Ready to discover some of the weirdest creatures that EVER lived? We'll meet human-sized scorpions, ghostly sharks, the alien-looking opabinia, vegetarian crocs (yes, really!) and, of course, the platypus, an evolutionary oddball with the fur of an otter, bill of a duck, and the tail of a beaver!

But what does evolution mean? Why are there no more apes turning into humans? How did the dodo become extinct? And how will animals cope with climate change?

      A brain-evolving issue, that's for sure!

      FAQs

What is the difference between a recurring subscription and one-off subscription?

Recurring subscriptions offer convenient three-monthly, six-monthly and 12-monthly payment plans, which automatically renew. (You can cancel your renewal at any time in your online account.)

One-off gift subscriptions are one-off payments. You can specify the preferred delivery date for a gift subscription, while recurring subscriptions start immediately with the current issue.

When will the first issue of my subscription be despatched?

Recurring subscription: Your first issue is usually despatched within 48 hours. If you place your order between the 20th and 28th of each month, your subscription starts with the next month’s issue, which is shipped at the end of the month.

One-off subscription: Choose the 'Birthday' option to select your preferred 'deliver by' date or choose 'ASAP' to have your first issue despatched within 48 hours.

Christmas gift: Your subscription will start with our December issue. It will be despatched early December in a red envelope marked "OPEN ON 25 DECEMBER".

How often and when will my child receive the magazine?

Eco Kids Planet is published 11 times a year, monthly except for a combined July/August bumper issue. You should expect to receive a new issue at the beginning of each month.

How do I notify you about a change of address?

If you have a recurring subscription, you can update your address online in your customer portal. Click the Manage Subscription link, which is included in any email communication about your order, to access your customer portal. You can also log in on the site (make sure you have activated your online account first) and click the 'Manage Subscription' link in the top-left corner of the screen.

For one-off gift or direct debit subscriptions, please email your new address to hello@ecokidsplanet.co.uk.

How do I cancel my recurring subscription?

To cancel your recurring subscription, click the Manage Subscription link, which is included in your order confirmation email or the reminder email about your upcoming payment. This leads you directly to your customer portal, where you can access and manage your subscription. Then click the 'Cancel' link in the 'Actions' column on the right-hand side.

Can I order a subscription for delivery to an address outside the UK?

Yes, we can ship anywhere in the world. There is an additional shipping charge of about £1-£1.50 per month (depending on country), which is added when you enter your delivery address during checkout. All international mail is sent via Royal Mail 1st Class, which offers delivery in 3-5 working days to Europe, and 5-7 working days to other international locations.
