This weekend, thousands of children and their families will be pitching their tents and rolling out their sleeping bags. It's the RSPB Big Wild Sleepout on 28-30 July – for the fifth year running!

The event takes place over the last weekend in July. It is a simple, free, fun activity for people of all ages to take part in.

Discover which night-time creatures you have on your own doorstep by sleeping out in your garden or outdoor space!

Don’t have a garden? Not to worry! The RSPB is also organising sleepout events across the UK in some truly inspiring locations! There are special night-time activities, from food and stories around the campfire to a night-time stroll. Every event is different and a full list is available on the RSPB website.

For lots of fun ideas, activities and tips to help you have a wild night out, go to www.rspb.org.uk/sleepout
