They’re crunchy and gooey, and you don’t even need to bake them. Our Easter Krispie Pops are a fantastic homemade treat that even the Easter Bunny will want to get his hands on.

What you need:

  • White and/or dark chocolate (Fairtrade. Please check it doesn’t use unsustainable palm oil.)
  • 200g Rice Krispies (or similar)
  • 300g marshmallows (mini or large)
  • 3 tablespoons dairy-free butter
  • Sprinkles (optional)
  • Cake pop sticks
  • Easter-themed cutters
  • Baking tray

    What to do:

Step 1: With adult supervision, melt the butter in a pan overheat. Add your marshmallows and keep stirring until the mixture has turned to liquid. Add the Rice Krispies and stir in well.

Step 2: Remove the pan from the heat and pour your mixture into a tray (no grease needed). Use the back of a spoon to press down the mixture. It cools quickly, so be nifty!

Step 3: Leave the tray to cool for a couple of hours.
Step 4: Cut out your shapes.

Step 5: Insert your cake pop stick through the bottom of your shape. (If they begin to droop, pop them in the fridge.)

Step 6: Melt your chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water. Keep stirring until it is completely smooth. Use your melted chocolate to drizzle over and decorate your pops.

Step 7: Finish off with a splash of sprinkles and chocolate buttons. Enjoy!

How to make it vegan-friendly:Ensure your marshmallows do not contain gelatin. Add your favourite vegan chocolate.
