Year 2 students from Dwight School, London have been learning about 'Sharing the Planet'. They've created these wonderful posters on deforestation, global warming and overfishing. They wanted to help 'take action and raise awareness' by publishing their work here at Eco Kids Planet.

This is what the children would like to share in reflecting on their learning:

The earth is getting too hot because of the Green House effect. There is a lot of pollution from cars, buses, trains and aeroplanes. People are cutting down trees to make things such as paper. The natural environment changes and people build houses, factories, shops, skyscrapers, towers, schools, bridges, hospitals, airports and so many other things. There is also plastic pollution. People are buying what they want, not what they need. They are overfishing for money! When fishermen go out into the ocean, they don’t realise that there is an oil leak from their boats. Sometimes they don’t care!

We think all this should STOP! Together we can save the planet by:

  • Walking or riding a bike
  • Taking as much as we need, now being greedy
  • Using metal cutlery
  • Carrying our own cloth bag
  • Refusing and reusing plastic
  • Recycling
